IA Event: Spaghetti with Meatballs Dinner and Movie

All IAs and their family members are invited to join us for a Spaghetti and Meatball dinner at Patuxent Landing Restaurant beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23. IAs and their families will then be treated to a free showing of the movie Spaghetti with a Chance of Meatballs at the Center Stage Theater starting at 6:30. Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet

Let the Cedar Point Club treat you to the traditional bountiful feast on Nov. 26. Christmas Play and Tree Lighting

On Dec. 4, the Center Stage Theater will entertain the whole family with a live performance of Scrooge, followed by the NAS Pax River Tree Lighting and a visit from Santa. The Tree Lighting will be free for all. Tickets for the play will be $5$5 for adults and $2 for children ages 5-12. Children under 12 are free but will need to have a ticket to insure the performances are not overbooked. All proceeds will benefit Navy Marine Corp Relief Society. 32nd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival

The festival will be Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Drill Hall. Each year over 170 artists and artisans come to sell their wares — everything from paintings, silk flowers, wood crafts, Christmas ornaments, hand made blankets, quilts and more. General public is welcome! Guests who do not have access to the base must park at the Frank Knox building (Great Mills Rd. and Rt 235) Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Drill Hall. Family Winter Wonderland Dance

All Pax River families are invited to the Rassieur Youth Center on Dec. 11 from 6:30-9 p.m. for a special night of dinner and dancing. The Youth Center will be decked out in holiday style and piano students will provide dinner music. Later, the DJ will change the tone, allowing everyone to boogie down. Dress is night out attire. Take the opportunity to make a positively fun memory for your family. Register at the Rassieur Youth Center. For more information, call 301-342-1694. Event will be $5 per person, children two and under and seniors 70 and over are free. Earn volunteer hours for graduation, if you help us decorate.

Snacks with Santa

Bring the whole family out to NRC Solomons on Dec. 12 for a snack with Santa. There will be three ‘‘Snacking Times” 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 1-2:30 p.m. and 3-4:30 p.m. Elves will conduct an arts and craft activity, Ms. Claus will have a sugar cookie for each child to decorate and Santa will make a surprise visit with a small goody for each child. Santa’s Calling

Send a special message to a child this Christmas with a call from Santa. Operators are standing by at the North Pole phone center to put your child’s name on Santa’s telephone list! Registration forms will be available on the Web at www.cnic.navy.mil⁄Patuxent⁄BaseSupport⁄Child Services⁄YouthCenter⁄index.htm and can be turned in beginning Nov. 30. Completed forms should be turned in to any of these locations: Rassieur Youth Center, Bowling Center, Theater, Information, Tickets and Tours Office, MWR Admin Office (Bldg. 467), CDC, and the CDC Annex. Deadline to turn in forms is Tuesday, Dec. 15, at noon. Calls will be made on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17, 6-7:30 p.m.
