Walter Reed Army Medical Center hosted a civilian health fair last Friday in the Old Red Cross Bldg. (41).
Representatives from various insurance programs were in attendance as part of the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Open Season, which began Nov. 9 and continues through Dec. 14.
More than 200 employees attended the annual event sponsored by the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center.
During the open season, federal civilian employees may choose health, dental and vision insurance coverage for 2010. Federal civilians can review their options for FEHB, the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), and the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS).
‘‘We understand that health insurance is a critical need for all federal employees, which is why we make this event one of our top priorities to sponsor each year,” said Ruth Barrow, human resources officer at WRAMC. (CPAC)
