E-Mail This Article Print This Story
Walter Reed Army Medical Center is vaccinating high-risk groups against the H1N1 influenza.

These groups include:

  • persons who live with or provide care for infants 6 months and younger (e.g., parents, siblings, daycare providers);

  • health-care and emergency medical services personnel;

  • children and young adults ages 6 months to 24 years;

  • pregnant women;

  • persons ages 25 to 64 years who have medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications (e.g., heart, lung, kidney disease);

    Adults are being vaccinated in the Heaton Pavilion on the second floor, Rm. 2H36, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

    Infants and children up to age 18 years are being vaccinated in the Heaton Pavilion on the first floor in the Pediatrics Clinic, Rm. 1K.

    A memorandum to all WRAMC personnel issued Oct. 28 says, ‘‘all active duty servicemembers, excluding those medically or administratively exempted, will be vaccinated against the 2009 H1N1 virus.”
