BM2(SW) Samuel Boyce Boathouse

E-Mail This Article Print This Story
What prompted you to enlist in the Navy?
The Navy was able to give me my own individual life after high school. There is no other place I could have gone and been as successful as I am today.

What is the most memorable moment in your Navy career?
During my third deployment onboard the USS McInerney during 2007, we were on a counter narcotics deployment and did a 40-ton cocaine bust off South America in the Pacific Ocean.

What is your favorite pasttime or hobby?
Playing music — drums and guitar.

What do you consider the best or most satisfying part of your job?
The opportunity to learn skills outside of my own rate.

If you could change anything in the world today, what would it be?
Incorporate the principle of ‘‘an eye for an eye” into the justice system.
