Bolling Air Force Base welcomes inspectors for an external environmental, safety and occupation health compliance inspection from Nov. 9-13.
All units are subject to visits from an inspection team of outside consultants that will check safety and occupational health protocols, focusing on industrial functions.
‘‘It’s about good environmental stewardship and about creating a safe place for Bolling personnel to work,” said Robin Robinson, 11th Civil Engineer Squadron energy program manager. ‘‘It’s how we take care of the base to create a safe, environmentally-friendly base as well as support the mission.”
In the weeks before the inspection, environmental program managers escorted 11th Wing and 11th Mission Support Group leaders to conduct spot checks in some of the areas that will be inspected during the official Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program inspection.
Leaders visited the Auto Skills Center, the Hazmat Pharmacy and the Clinic during the days prior to the inspection team’s visit. Children at Bolling’s Child Development Center also were treated to a visit from ‘‘Captain Energy” during a couple of energy-efficiency workshops aimed at providing children with tips to save energy.
