Operation Prepare

E-Mail This Article Print This Story
Operation Prepare (Have a Plan, Make a Kit, Be Informed) - Not just for disasters but also fast-spreading diseases.

When an emergency strikes, knowing what to do can save time, and - most importantly - lives. With your help, members of our Navy community can learn how to prepare for natural or manmade disasters, fast-spreading diseases, and other emergencies through the Operation prepare public awareness program initiated by Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). Operation Prepare provides general training on how families should prepare in the event of an emergency, and also contains information on the Flu & H1N1 virus. Brochures (some in Spanish) are available at your Installations Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) including - Pandemic Influenza and Disaster Preparedness.

The link to all Operation Prepare info is located at www.cnic.navy.mil At the homepage, click on the Operation Prepare icon on the right side of page.
