Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
A four-day career and job search workshop for separating and retiring service members seeking civilian employment will be held July 7-10 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Topics include skills assessment, resume writing, job search methods, interview techniques, as well as a review of veteran entitlement and much more. Register now if you are within one year of separation or two years of retirement. Classes fill up months ahead. You must see your Command Career Counselor and obtain a signed DD 2648 from your command prior to coming to registration. Failure to do so may result in you being turned away from TAP.

Retired Activities Office
The Retired Activities Office, open Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m., assists all retired military and their family members in such areas as the Survivor Benefits Plan, retired rights and benefits, widow’s outreach and assistance. Retired military volunteers staff the office.

Coed Youth Soccer League
The Billy the Kid Youth Center will offer a Coed Youth Soccer League for children ages 5-10. Registration is at the Youth Center, Bldg. #126 Alder Road, NSA Annapolis, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. from July 6-31. The league is open to family members of active duty, retired military, active reservists, DoD civilians and USNA contractors. Cost is $50 per child and includes a jersey, trophy and awards ceremony. Games will be played on Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. on the Youth Soccer Fields across from the Child Development Center from Sept. 12 to Oct. 31. Volunteer coaches are needed for each age group. Summer Camp
Summer Camp runs through Aug. 21 and includes daily Boys and Girls Club of America activities such as arts and crafts, Triple Play, Ultimate Journey, cooking, and character-building activities. There are daily swimming sessions and field trips once a week. Children of active duty, active reservists, DoD civilians and USNA contractors are eligible. Liberty Zone Renovation
MWR is replacing the floor tiles in the Liberty Zone, Men's Locker Room and the hallway adjacent to these rooms in the MWR Recreational Services Bldg. #89, NSA Annapolis. Work will be done in sections starting with the Liberty Zone and will be completed around July 13. Areas where contractors are working will be closed off in sections.
