Auto Skills Center
The Auto Skills Center provides the space and tools for service members, their families, retirees, and Department of Defense civilian employees to do their own auto repair. The shop is on the main installation in Bldg. 82, in front of the fire station. Open Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Sunday, Monday and federal holidays. Phone (202) 782-7433 or 4972.

Fitness Center
The Walter Reed Fitness Center offers a large variety of cardio-pulmonary equipment, including treadmills, cross-trainers, bikes and steppers. It also has an extensive free-weight area and two circuits of resistance equipment. Equipment orientation classes take place several times a week.

The center also offers several self-directed programs throughout the year for those who need motivation. Trainers create individual exercise programs on request.

The center is in Bldg. 88. Open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; closed on federal holidays. Phone (202) 782-7022.

Information, Ticketing and Registration Office
The Information, Ticketing and Registration Office is in Bldg. 11, Room 1-132, and offers discount tickets to sports events (Redskins, Wizards, Capitals, Mystics, Orioles, and Ravens); tourist attractions (Busch Gardens, Historic Williamsburg, King’s Dominion, Sea World, Six Flags America, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney World); concerts at local theatres (Kennedy Center, National Theatre, Warner Theatre, Constitution Hall, MCI Center, Ford’s Theatre, Wolf Trap, and others); hotel reservations; romantic getaways (Armed Forces Vacation Club locations and Caesar’s Pocono Resorts); entertainment coupon books; and tours (New York City, Atlantic City, Amish country and outlet shopping in Pennsylvania, the Pocono Mountains, and Dover, Delaware).

Sports Center
Karen J. Wagner Sports Center was dedicated September 11, 2003. Its 35,000 square feet of space includes three racquetball courts, a basketball and volleyball court, aerobics room, men’s and women’s saunas and locker rooms with daily and rental lockers. Phone (202) 782-3369.
